Hawkesbury
Hawkesbury is an industrial, francophone and bilingual city, with 11,000 residents. It is situated midway between Montreal and Ottawa. It has a good road network that makes both cities only an hour's drive. Well-endowed with health and education services, it has the most significant business services centre in Eastern Ontario.
The residential housing is attractive, because it is less expensive than it is in major cities, in an urban environment close to nature and full of services. Forty clubs and associations enliven community life in Hawkesbury. The logo and typography convey the green and blue presence of the river that shapes the landscape of our city, its central position between Quebec and Ontario, the rural environment which tempers the industrial character, the vitality of a growing city and the roads that promote mobility.
It is located near international airports. The industrial sector involves a number of large companies and a network of SMEs. In recent years, the balance of job creation is positive. Hawkesbury has a diversified economic fabric composed of small and medium-sized businesses in trade, handicrafts, services and a leading sector in the aerospace industry. The city facilitates the establishment of businesses involved in renewable energy.
