Deep River Area
The Deep River Area is home to Atomic Energy of Canada’s world famous Chalk River Labs (CRL). CRL boasts world-class expertise in physics, metallurgy, chemistry, biology and engineering and produces medical radioisotopes that benefit approximately 67,000 people around the world on a daily basis. National research Council’s Canadian Neutron Beam Centre draws materials research scientists from around the world and Bubble Technology Industries has made numerous contributions to international space and defense programs. The area also offers residents and visitor’s outstanding recreational amenities in a beautiful natural environment. Great beaches, renowned ski trails, and superb fishing, golfing, and sailing present only a few of the many lifestyle opportunities that are available. The area is well known for its cultural amenities which include an excellent symphony orchestra.
