Target, a multipurpose-retail store has announced their distribution hub will include Cornwall, Ontario. Target is building 1.3 million square-foot distribution centre in the Cornwall Business Park and it is expected to be operating by 2013.
Bob Peter, Cornwall’s economic development officer says, “The close-knit nature of the logistics sector suggests other big-retail corporations are thinking about distribution centres in Cornwall and Eastern Ontario”.
Imagine the size sprawling over 100+ acres! At 1.3 million square feet, the warehouse is equivalent in size to three, Roger Centre stadiums.
Eyes will be on Ontario East as a destination for distribution and warehousing!
