Green building energy design specialist Homesol Building Solutions honoured as EnerQuality Energy Evaluator of the Year
ALMONTE, ON February 10, 2012 another green building triumph for the Ottawa Valley's Homesol Building Solutions Inc. The Homesol residential energy design team is celebrating 2012 early by earning EnerQuality Evaluator of the Year honours at the Feb. 2nd annual EnerQuality Awards of Excellence banquet.EnerQuality Corp. (www.enerquality.ca) is the market leader in green building programs with a mission is to transform Ontario's housing into the most energy efficient and sustainable in the world.
In 2011, Homesol honours included certifying Canada's first Passive House, and Ontario's first multi-unit residential building that meets a platinum-LEED standard for environmental and energy efficient design. Both of those were Ottawa projects. EnerQuality awards recognize leaders in construction who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to building high-performance, energy-efficient, sustainable new housing.
According to Ross Elliott, Homesol's founder and CEO, high honours from EnerQuality represent the judgment of Ontario's most passionate green building professionals.
